The Dubai Land Department is participating in GITEX Global 2024, the world’s largest event for technology and startups. The event, held under the theme “Global Collaboration to Shape the AI-Driven Future Economy,” takes place from October 14 to 18, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. During the event, the department will showcase its latest achievements in real estate governance and the provision of innovative digital solutions.
Governance of Real Estate Advertisements
Among the prominent solutions launched by the department during the event is the first phase of governance over real estate advertisements through the “Dubai Market Intelligence Dashboard.” This dashboard provides a comprehensive view of all online real estate advertisements, whether for sale or rent, with a high capability to identify ads that do not comply with the standards and criteria or those with repeated violations.
The dashboard also allows for filtering real estate advertisements on various platforms according to the frequency of violations or the violating entity. Additionally, it provides data on the number of advertised properties, the type of property, completion status, geographical areas, the number of advertisements published daily, and the major brokerage agencies with advertisements. This contributes to enhancing transparency and effectively monitoring the market.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Dubai Land Department will sign several agreements with both the public and private sectors to develop real estate infrastructure and launch innovative digital services. Among these agreements is a memorandum of understanding signed with “Pixonal,” a leading innovation design company, to develop an advanced digital system that will enable the department and stakeholders to access important insights about real estate and demographic data.
The memorandum was signed by Mr. Mohammed Al Badawi, Acting Executive Director of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, and Mr. Mohammed Saeed, Executive Creative Director at Pixonal, in the presence of several executive officials from both parties.
Accelerating the Pace of Digital Transformation
In this regard, His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of the Dubai Land Department, stated: “Our participation in GITEX Global 2024 reaffirms our commitment to accelerating the pace of digital transformation in Dubai’s real estate market by unveiling innovative initiatives and projects as part of our efforts to implement the 2033 Real Estate Sector Strategy. Achieving the ambitious goals of the strategy requires collective efforts and building effective partnerships to provide new and innovative tools that keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital landscape. This, in turn, will empower the real estate community through proactive and seamless real estate services, comprehensive legislation and data, and a leading digital infrastructure.”
The department’s participation in this prominent event reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance the real estate market and provide advanced digital solutions. The “Dubai Digital” pavilion—Platform 24—showcases several pioneering digital projects and services aimed at improving the experience of users and investors. This contributes to achieving its strategic vision of enhancing Dubai’s global leadership in real estate investment, ensuring effective governance of the sector, maximizing the added value from data, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector while achieving governmental integration.
The department will also showcase the latest enhancements made to the “Dubai REST” application, the comprehensive smart platform for real estate services. The continuous development of the application reflects the Dubai Land Department’s commitment to empowering its digital services, improving user experience, and making real estate transactions more efficient, transparent, and secure for everyone in the Dubai real estate market.
This year’s participation of the Dubai Land Department at GITEX Global includes many events, such as signing memorandums of understanding with government and private entities that will be revealed later, as well as introducing visitors and participants to the department’s services and innovative initiatives.
